The EtiVo Service is the heart of the system. It handles all the downloading of the software and all the encoding that takes place. There are two modes you can use when you work with EtiVo. Manual modeIn this modes, shows need to be enqueued by hand, telling it which shows need to be archived. AutoTivo modeThis mode will still honor enqued requests, but it will also use its free time to go through all the still unarchived shows in the TiVo and queue them automatically for recording. How it worksThe EtiVo grabs files from the TiVo using MFSFTP (see the requirement section). It then uses Windows Media Encoder to transcode the file into another Format (WMV currently, but should be easy to do it for every file practically). It then stores the resulting file together with the information about it in a folder.
