More UI (7.25.2005)Couple of new things in the management console - this screen gives you the ability to see what's going on in EtiVo's queue w/o having to open EtiVoWeb (or if you dont have EtiVoWeb). You can also queue shows now manually w/o EtiVoWeb: New UI for EtiVo (6.5.2005)There have been a few improvements - main one being the tray-icon that allows you to access and see your EtiVo status:
Double clicking the icon will give you a simple form that describes the status. Right clicking will give various options for controlling EtiVo: When EtiVo detects directories that are not being used and are potentially problematic, it will display the user with a dialog box that will allow a detailed view of the shows: Also, you can now define what formats (wmv, divx, TiVo etc) EtiVo will recognize, as well as test them to see that they work properly: Old Screen ShotsWhen configuring EtiVo, you can now use the EtiVo Configuration Utility - access it from your Program Files/EtiVo folder. In here, you can configure general information about your EtiVo. Each item has an explanation. The "Basic" page shows you some more information about your EtiVo. In here you can tweak the behavior of EtiVo. Video Sources allows you to modify the places from where EtiVo takes information. When you "Add new", you will get a dialog that will ask you what the type you want to add is. You can choose between an MfsFtp source and an EtiVo source.
If you choose MfsFtp, you can now configure it. Need to give the name of your TiVo on the network and the port. Locations is where EtiVo stores your files. You can have as many of these as you want. If you have more than one encoding profile, you can add those here. Advanced: Advanced users can add remote encoders to allow them to have encodings go faster. Changing signatures allows users to help EtiVo know when shows should and should not be encoded. |
